Available Companion & Started Dogs
Not every wonderful dog is meant for the exact path they originally started on, but that does not make them any less special. The dogs listed below are young dogs who have received varying levels of training, socialization, and real-world experience. Some began service or advanced training programs and were later redirected for reasons such as medical concerns, environmental sensitivities, or simply because their personality was better suited for life as a beloved companion rather than a working role.
These are not ‘problem dogs.’ Many already have foundations in obedience, kennel training, public manners, and experience around children and other dogs. They are simply looking for the right home where they can thrive and be appreciated for who they are.
We strive to be honest and transparent about both the strengths and needs of each dog so we can help create the best possible match for both the dog and their future family.

CJ
CJ is a male white Labrador Retriever born on 3/11/24. CJ originally began training to become a service dog and has received extensive obedience and public access training. During his training journey, CJ was unfortunately diagnosed with Valley Fever, a fungal disease common in the Southwest that, in his case, has caused seizures. Thankfully, his seizures are currently well controlled with medication. He will need to remain on medication for life and will require routine bloodwork every 6–12 months to monitor his condition and medication levels.
While CJ was unable to complete full service dog training, we truly believe his real destiny is to be a beloved companion in a loving pet home. He has an absolutely wonderful Labrador personality — happy, goofy, affectionate, and full of wiggles. He loves to run, play fetch, go on walks, and soak up attention from his people. He has been raised around children and does well with other dogs. However, he would do best in a home without a very dominant dog, as he will stand up for himself if pushed around.
CJ has also had introductory training in detecting high and low glucose levels. While he is not considered a finished medical alert dog, those skills may be further reinforced and developed if a future owner wishes to continue working with him.
He enjoys accompanying his people to pet-friendly stores and is a fun dog to take out in public. CJ does well in a kennel, is current on his vaccinations, is neutered, and microchipped.
CJ is looking for a family who understands his medical needs and will give him the active, loving home he deserves.

Ranger has recently developed an intermittent limp. X-rays have been completed, however no clear cause has been identified at this time. He continues to remain active, happy, playful, and full of personality.

Oakley
Oakley is a male black Labrador Retriever born on 11/1/25. He is a fun-loving, happy, and energetic young Labrador with the classic personality the breed is known and loved for. Oakley absolutely loves people and enjoys running, playing, exploring, and soaking up attention from everyone he meets. He is full of personality, wiggles, and enthusiasm, making him a wonderful companion for an active family or individual.
Oakley has participated in a starter obedience training program and has already begun building a solid foundation in manners and basic obedience skills. He has also had beginning exposure to public manners and new environments. He is kennel trained and has been raised around both children and other dogs.
Oakley has recently developed a mild limp for reasons that are currently unknown. It may simply be related to growth and the goofy oversized feet and growing body that he has not quite grown into yet, but we want to be fully transparent about it as he continues maturing.
Oakley is current on his vaccinations, microchipped, but has not yet been neutered.
He is at a wonderful age for a family wanting a young dog they can continue training, bonding with, and including in everyday adventures. Oakley would thrive in a home that will continue giving him structure, exercise, playtime, and lots of love as he grows into adulthood.

Copper
Copper is a beautiful Saddleback Walker Hound approximately 7 years old with a sweet, easygoing personality and a heart full of love for his people. Copper was saved from a euthanasia list and is currently being fostered while he searches for his forever home.
He absolutely adores children and thinks kids are the greatest thing in the world. Copper is also good with other dogs, does well around cats, and has no issues being around horses.
Copper enjoys a relaxed lifestyle and is happiest lounging around the house as a couch potato, while still enjoying time outside and following his people around. He is an affectionate dog that loves to cuddle and be near his owner whenever possible.
He knows basic commands such as sit and heel, and his recall is about what you would expect from a typical hound who occasionally likes to follow his nose. Overall, Copper is a very nice, loving, and loyal companion looking for a home where he can simply enjoy being part of the family.
Copper is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccinations.

Suzie
Suzie is a female black Labrador Retriever born on 2/11/25. She is a very sweet, loving, and affectionate dog who enjoys being close to her people and soaking up attention. Suzie has a fun and playful Labrador personality and loves walks, playtime, toys, and spending time with her family.
Suzie was originally in training to become a service dog and has received training in obedience and public manners. During her training, it became clear that anxiety around traffic noises and busy vehicle environments made her better suited for a loving pet home rather than continued service work.
She is kennel trained, gets along well with other dogs, and has been around children. Suzie is current on her vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped.
Suzie is looking for a patient and loving family that will continue helping her build confidence while giving her the happy pet life she deserves. She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a sweet, affectionate Labrador to share everyday life with.
