    Default Clicker Fetch

We are starting today and experiment on clicker fetch. We have 3 puppies that have a "missing link" in the retrieving behavior chain. They run out to a thrown dummy or ball, but do not pick it up. Normally I would try different objects, water retrieves, and competition with other puppies to overcome this. I am however, curious as to how the clicker training will work. Betsy Ranson, my puppy program manager is reading the protocol and will start the puppies today. The protocol we are trying is at the following link.

It should be an interesting experiment. I will keep you posted.
