Legacy Labradors - The Original
A Living Piece of Labrador History
In the 1830's the 5th Duke of Buccleuch imported the first ancestral Labradors from Newfoundland. The Dukes of Buccleuch have subsequently maintained this original strain of Labrador Retriever and have bred over many years a superb game finding dog to supply the needs of their gamekeepers for their vast estates in Scotland. The Duke of Buccleuch's kennels are the only Labrador breeding operation which has been in continuous operation since the introduction of Labradors to England in the 1830's.
Legacy Labradors are of the original strain of Labrador developed and maintained over the past 170 years or so at the kennels of the Duke of Buccleuch at Queensberry Estate in Scotland. Duckhill Kennels is breeding a few extremely select Labrador bitches to the Duke of Buccleuch's Field Trial Winner Buccleuch Oak.
These puppies are priced at $2,000 and are of limited registration. A puppy may be reserved with a deposit of $500.
